What does C2 mean on an EICR?

C2 means ‘potentially dangerous’ — the installation needs remedial action without delay, but it isn’t an immediate danger like a C1. Most EICRs with a C2 are still safe to occupy while repairs are arranged.

Should I replace my fuse board?

If it’s an older rewireable-fuse board rather than a modern RCBO consumer unit, most engineers recommend replacement — it won’t trip as reliably during a fault. We confirm on inspection and give you a fixed price before any work starts.
